IFRRO World Conference always delivers.
The Welcome Reception gave us oysters, but also a performance of Le Roi Boreal that nobody will forget. The idea for Roi Boréal was born when, at the start of the pandemic, photos of wild animals venturing into the city were seen all over the world. Carl Veilleux was deeply moved by these images, which combined wild beauty with urban encroachment. For him, they created a poetic bubble, a space-time that stopped for the moment of their appearance. They also echoed the back-to-basics movement we’re currently experiencing, the deceleration of life, to take time to observe. He wanted to bring out a multi-sensory poetry in a living, life-size work that magnifies the Moose, the giant of our forests. Here is this wild poetry!
